SWEET AROMATIC WHITE WINE
A sweet and light-bodied highly aromatic varietal white wine with floral and spice aromas. Traminette is an American-born hybrid wine grape variety, the baby of Gewürztraminer and the French-American varietal, Joannes Seyve. Developed at the University of Illinois in the 1960s, this vine was originally intended as a white table grape, but soon it revealed its potential in winemaking thanks to its complex flavor, productivity, and ability to withstand the cold. It is widely grown across the mid-Atlantic region. This particular wine is believed to be the only certified-kosher Traminette available in the world. Similar in character to Gewürztraminer with prominent flavors of lychee, rose petal, apricot, and honey. Produced from grapes grown in Adams County, PA on a small hilltop vineyard in the heart of apple country. The sweetness of the wine (6.4% R.S.) is finely balanced by the variety's signature acidity. An excellent pairing with spicy cuisine (e.g. Thai or Cajun), umami-rich foods, or strong and firm cheeses like aged cheddar, Manchego, or Gruyère.
