BARREL-AGED DRY WHITE WINE
Our Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is rich and creamy with flavors of citrus, butter, and lemon oil. Made from the prime cut free-run juice of Sauvignon Blanc grown at Palmer Vineyards on the North Fork of Long Island. Aged 6 months in a single medium toast French Oak barrel. Softer on the palate with more complex flavors than our unoaked Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was made to undergo malolactic fermentation which converts the sharp malic acid in grapes to softer lactic acid and imparts a creamy flavor to the wine. The sweetness of the oak folds nicely into the fresh green herb, citrus, and stone fruit flavors of the Sauvignon Blanc. Medium-deep gold color in the glass. Medium-light body and acid with a creamy, mouthwatering finish. Excellent pairing for white meats, fish, seafood, soft flavorful cheeses, and Mediterranean garden vegetable dishes. Fresh or dried green herbs and spices will really accentuate the flavors of this exquisitely crafted wine.
