Aromella is a hybrid grape of traminette, which is a hybrid grape of gewurtztraminer. They cross pollinate pretty easy, don't they?
Aromella has awesome flavors and aromatics of lemon and lemongrass. This wine was aged in oak barrels for 16 months, the last 3 outside in winter's weather, getting sun, rain, snow, freezing and thawing. That makes for an awesome wine. To my knowledge, we are the only winery to have ever aged wine in oak barrels purposefully outside in all sorts of weather. It works. The oak flavor is subtle and the wine is super smooth with a long, lingering finish
