A blend of 54% Chardonnay from 2023 that was stainless steel fermented, aged on lees and 46% 2022 Vignoles barrel fermented and aged on lees. Lees are the spent yeast cells
This wine opens with a hint of superb complexity then the flavors of vignoles jumps right in and starts to dominate, but then quickly swerves and finishes with a dandy of a fruity chardonnay finish. The oak is very subdued and adds a nice background to the flavors.
The two varieties bring an array of apple notes to the forefront. The wine is crisp, refreshing, full of flavor and has a long, lingering aftertaste. No fining agents, as usual, with our wines, so all of the rich, natural vitamins and minerals are intact.
