A blend of 50% barrel fermented and aged chardonnay, 25% tank fermented and aged vignoles and 25% tank fermented and aged chardonel.
This wine opens with a hint of chardonnay, then the flavors of vignoles and chardonel take over, but on the finish the chardonnay pops back out again. The oak is very subdued and adds a nice background to the flavors.
All three varieties bring an array of apple notes to the forefront. The wine is crisp, refreshing, full of flavor and has a long, lingering aftertaste. No fining agents, as usual, with our wines, so all of the rich, natural vitamins and minerals are intact.
