Aronia melanocarpa (recently renamed Photinia melanocarpa) is a shrub native to the eastern U.S. hardy to -40°F! Popular in Russia and Poland since the 1950s, it came back to the US with much fanfare because of its huge antioxidant content.
Notes of berry up front, especially pomegranate, with a hint of milk chocolate on the finish. Made entirely with Montana fruit.
2% sugar at finish (semi-sweet). Very dark!
