Forest floor, Dried leaves and pine needles emanate from the glass lending complexity to the round ripe notes of red cherry and plum. A kiss of toast from oak lends another layer of depth to this beautiful, balanced wine. The nuance and complexity suggest that this pinot will age beautifully. A barrel select curvée that reflects the best of the vintage & vineyard. A classic Eola Amity Hilla AVA wine that reminds one of the well-rounded pinots of burgundy. Prophet Vineyard is LIVE Certified and sustainably farmed. The opulent fruit that comes from Prophet Vineyard reflects the combination of volcanic and marine sedimentary soils that lie on the south facing slopes. The site runs from 440’ to 615’ in elevation. The vineyard is directly exposed to the cooling winds of the Van Duzer Corridor. The five major soils are Chehulpum, Steiwer, Rittner, Nekia and Jory. The Estate wine includes 777, 943, 828, Mt. Eden, Swan, Calera, Pommard, Coury and Wadenswil clones.
