Deep, intense dark fruits dominate the nose of this Prophet Vineyard wine. Hints of earth and mushroom are present, reflecting the Eola-Amity location. On the palate, dark cherry and plum with a hint of black licorice reveal the wine to be of substance and more masculine than previous vintages. There are notes of iron, Eola-Amity soil, and black heirloom tomato acidity that pair wonderfully and create a delicious, complex pinot. It is ready now but should drink marvelously for the next decade.

The Micheline represents our two barrel select reserve from the 2017 vintage. Almost 75% whole cluster and barrel aged for 16 months, the wine represents its terroir with an earthy Eola-Amity funk paired with a nice balance of natural acid and tannins. Big dark fruits dominate the wine. Dark plum and black cherry combine with an under-tone of cherry-cola to pleasure your palate. The wine is still evolving, so we recommend decanting or letting the wine breath for a few hours if you are going to drink it soon. Otherwise, let it mature and enjoy a Prophet Vineyard classic in a couple of years.

If you would like to try to drink dark red roses and violets, this might be your wine. More open and elegant than the Estate, the Micheline is gentle on the palate. Despite the newer oak barrels used on the reserve, the acid is fresh, and the tannins are softer and more rounded. The wine has a more feminine feel than most of the 2018 vintage. Black cherry, blackberry and ripe fig are the dominant flavors. We are extremely proud of this wine. The wine is drinking great and should keep in your cellar for years to come.

A 100% pinot noir rosé from three distinct blocks of Prophet Vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills. Grown in Nekia and Rittner soils, the three blocks consist of 115, 828 and a mixed block of 13 different clones. The bright rosé projects red fruits, pear and melon paired with a natural acidity. Though skin contact is short-lived, the wine produces the same distinctive floral aromatics that one expects from a Van Duzer Corridor impacted Eola-Amity Hill’s vineyard. The smooth and well-integrated rosé is clearly made from high quality fruit, and its overall structure surprises for a rosé. Prophet Vineyard is LIVE Certified and sustainably farmed. Purple tones and fruit dominate the nose, and there is a subtle hint of the surrounding lavender. A trace of vanilla pastry can also be detected in the glass. Blackberries, plums, and dark raspberries are the fruits that fill your mouth. The fruit also exhibits some of the earthiness that makes Eola-Amity Hills the most special terroir in the valley. Beyond the great fruit, the finish is long and balanced. The very limited production wine is wonderful and will drink well for years.
