A changing wine, like clouds in the spring sky. switching between apparently contra- dictory aromas. A wine that elicits emotions and images like walking on dewy dry summer grass in coastal northern California.
The nose starts with aromas of sweet hay, fresh wafts of sweet pine, jasmine, lily, plum and licorice. It then switches to an air of ocean with a hint of oysters, a whiff of coconut all wrapped in a crystalline and pure sensation. It switches again, to summer and tropical fruits with notes of pear, vanilla, apricot tart and pineapple.
The mouthfeel has a rich viscosity counter- balanced by a bracing acidity.
The finish is incredibly long with loads of ripe pear and a hint of banana.
