Floral notes of hibiscus balance the sweetness of local honey in our Battle Weary Mead. The label pays tribute to Lester Davis who joined the Marines in 1948 at the age of 14. He was trained on the M4AZR3 (Zippo) flame tank depicted here. Davis’s tank crew had the honor of being featured in the 1949 movie Sands of Iwo Jima. In 1950, two weeks prior to his 17th birthday SSG Davis was given command of 12 M26 Pershing tanks and 60 men in Korea.
