This Chambourcin vintage was aged in 60% Georgia Bourbon Whiskey barrels and 40% Georgia Rye Whiskey oak wine barrels for a smooth and mellow dry red wine. It has soft tannins and medium body. Counterintuitively, the whiskey barrels actually smooth out the acidity of the Chambourcin in a very favorable manner. This Copperhead has been "de-fanged".
