TASTING NOTES
Subtle and delicate floral aromas of rose petal and rhubarb tease the nose. Bright, crisp acidity is balanced with a petrichor minerality. Faded cherry, hints of apricot, and an indistinct touch of clove linger with a palate cleansing finish.
WINEGROWING
Grown with a focus on sustainability. These grapes are farmed on alluvial soils mixed with larger volcanic strata. A properly managed, umbrella like canopy allows for just the right air flow and dappled sunlight onto the clusters to achieve maximum quality. Growing conditions were labeled as a once in a century event due to an early frost in 2020. High acid, low hanging fruit that would have never quite ripened into a red. We present to you the silver lining of the harsh 2021 season.
WINEMAKING
Picked early for a crisp acidity. Zero skin contact, whole clusters of Zinfandel went direct to press resulting in a nuanced aromatic white wine made from red grapes.
