This award winning Knotweed Traditional mead has been re-released in support of Operation ReBoot Outdoors - 10% of sales will go to support this 501(c)3 organization that help veterans, active-duty and LEO's rediscover their true north star by getting out into nature in Maine. Often frowned upon as an invasive species, and known for being difficult to eradicate - but that doesn't seem to bother the honeybees. Knotweed is an important source of fall forage for bees, and we are grateful that it also makes a delightful mead. This delightfully rich and complex mead took a 2nd place ribbon in the Dry Traditionals category at the 2022 Valkyries Horn Mead Competition. It won again as Valhalla Can Wait in the 2023 Orpheus Cup Mead Competition - bringing home a Silver medal.
