100% Mourvedre from Carpenter Hill Vineyards in the Rogue Valley AVA. The fruit was gorgeous. We gently pressed off into a stainless steel tank to settle overnight. Go to barrel clean, and allowed to naturally ferment and complete ML in neutral French oak barrels. Aged for 5 months. Notes of strawberry, kiwi, and watermelon, with a nice "grip" on the finish--the natural tannins from the skins--that is sure to complement spicy and rich foods, and anything off the grill. (A sunny day is also a great pairing.)
