Originally prized for its blending power, Petit Verdot has found a niche here in Virginia as a stand alone, single varietal wine. Slightly smokey with hints of sage, lavender, and loads of blueberry. Our 2019 Petit Verdot shows lingering, but soft tannin structure and a bright mouth watering acidity that makes the wine accessible now but will also age well over the next 4-7 years.
Pairs well with duck ragout, gruyere cheese, stuffed green peppers, spicy pork
