The goal for this 2018 Estate Chardonnay was to make a crisp, clean and very drinkable Oregon style Chardonnay. 2018 was a warm year with a late rain right before harvest. The early fall rain brought our Chardonnay grapes to the perfect brix right at harvest time. This allowed us to make incredible Chardonnay by bottling after only 6 months in barrels of 100% neutral oak. It is made from 100% Benedetto Vineyards Estate Chardonnay Dijon Clone #96 grapes. These are some of the most coveted grapes, and while many wineries would love to buy some, we keep all of our Chardonnay grapes to make fabulous wine for our customers, wine club members, and family.
