The 2022 868 Estate Vineyards Rosé is 100& Cab Franc. Produced with a combination of saignée (bleeding of juice from a red wine) and direct pressed reds, the pink juice is fermented like a white wine to retain acidity and fruit forward characteristics. Excellent as a “stand-alone”, this robust rosé will pair salmon steaks and anything right off the grill or smoker. The 868 Estate rosé is ready to consume anytime. Serve chilled.
Tasting Notes
868 Estate Vineyards’ Rosé is an approachable, medium-bodied wine with harmonious structure and complexity. With a medium salmon color, the aromas include strawberry and pear with notes of hazelnut, grapefruit and walnut. The flavors show off the wine’s red pedigree with elements of cherry and strawberry along with the hints of cedar and orange blossom. The refreshing finish lingers with accents of black pepper and grapefruit
