When we first put Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah together, it was for a wine we made at our sister winery in Chile. The two varietals together were simply delicious, so we decided to see what their sibling grapes in California would taste like together. We were thrilled with the result. An incredible deep red fruit greets the nose. Then when this wine meets the palate, this same fruit along with vanilla, coco, and spice present themselves. By aging in both American and French oak with only a small percentage of the barrels being new, the flavors shine without being masked, while providing a complex structure and mouth feel with a lingering finish.
