Crimson is a semi-dry red blend made from Marquette and Frontenac grapes. The name Crimson is deeply rooted in the history of Ripon College as the original name of its athletic and academic teams and is still used today as the name for the college yearbook and as a school color. Much like the Crimson name, the Prellwitz Family has strong roots in the Ripon community. This wine is a tribute to the winemaker’s grandma, Alice, who was a cook at Ripon College for many years where there is a memorial apple orchard planted in her honor.
