Our estate-grown Tannat vineyard lots are high upon the Knobstone Escarpment on our lakeside vineyard site at an elevation of 960ft. Dark red fruit aromas accompanied with smoke, roasted fig, toasted oak and plum combine with substantial, but fine grained, tannins that allow the creme de cassis and vanilla flavors to slowly unfold across the palate. Barrel are 100% french oak and aged for 12-18 months. The tannins pull down the curtain on this intense, young wine, foreshadowing many years of evolution to come.
