To make the 65, we blended like crazy and ended up making so much that we filled and set aside a couple of barrels. The 66 is a blend of that wine plus a Cab Sauv / Merlot barrel and part of a Montepulciano barrel which we aged in the barn over the summer and early fall.
Superbly complex, intense with a long, long, super long finish. We really should charge more.
