“Double, double, toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble. . .” These are the words chanted by the Three Witches from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and they are also the inspiration behind the naming of Shade Mountain Champagne. When the vintner, Karl Zimmerman, decided to try his hand in crafting Champagne, he used the trademark bubbles as the basis for its’ name. The “bubbles” referenced in the chants of the “Three Witches” are the same “bubbles” that are released upon opening a bottle of this mostly Chardonnay based Shade Mountain Champagne. This is a semi-sweet/extra-dry Champagne.
