Wine so intriguing it inspired poets. Some myths suggest french crusaders brought clippings of Syrah back with them from the Persian town of Shiraz (the reason Austrailians call this wine Shiraz) which was the home of the revered Persian poet Hafez. Others suggest the Phocaeans brought it to France around 600 BC; however it happened; we are thrilled to vinify this amazing grape. Spicy tannins, medium acidity levels, savory herbs, dark fruits - excuse our use of this very non wine terminology - yummy!
