Dark red, with aromas of red cherries, cherry blossom and earth. The berry flavors lead to cranberry in a juicy, lengthy finish. Whole berries were fermented cool for two weeks, then pressed and aged in neutral French oak barrels. Walnut Ridge Vineyard has two plantings of Gamay Noir that differ slightly in age, elevation and steepness of slope.
At harvest: Brix - 22.1; pH - 3.15; TA - 6.9.
At bottling on 2/02/22: pH - 3.25; TA - 6.7; Alcohol - 12.8.
