Mixed aromas of black cherry, wild cherry and black raspberry, with a hint of peppery spice. Allspice and nutmeg on the palate with juicy wild cherry in the finish. Floral, with aromas that keep evolving in the glass. Silky, mature tannin. The fruit came from Wild Winds Vineyard (75 percent) at the winery and Walnut Ridge Vineyard (25 percent). At harvest: Brix – 21.2-22.7; pH – 3.28-3.52; TA – 5.1-6.4. At bottling: alc. – 14.2; pH – 3.56; TA 4.7. 435 cases made.

Notes

A lovely year for elegant floral aromas and flavors. Should age very well but is luscious now.
