Our 2021 Chardonnay is barrel fermented and aged for 10 months in 500L puncheons to achieve an understated oakiness that balances harmoniously with toasty oak notes and bold citrus, melon and apricot highlights. Puncheons have a much higher ratio of volume to wood surface which allows a more delicate and nuanced oak aging than with standard barrels—perfect for Chardonnay we think! The wine is dry and crisply fruity, yet with a pleasantly soft and creamy finish.
Pairs very well with rich seafood and light creamy sauces, as well as lightly grilled white meats and fish.
