St. Wenceslaus is a festive Holiday tradition at Montelle. What a unique way to entertain guests at your holiday parties, as a gift for your favorite host or hostess, or just to curl up with by the fire on a cold winter night.
St. Wenceslaus is a ruby red sweet wine full of spice and is ready to enjoy right out of the bottle. Just warm and serve. For extra flair, you can add lemon slices, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and even apple juice. It can also be served chilled, if preferred.
Jägertee
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup herbal tea
1 cup brandy
2 cups St. Wenceslaus
Heat until sugar is dissolved.
Makes about 4 cups.
St. Wenceslaus Punch
1 Bottle St. Wenceslaus
2 cups apple juice
3-4 thin orange slices
3-4 thin lemon slices
1 cinnamon stick
6 whole allspice
2-4 Tbsp sugar or honey to taste
Heat on low in a crockpot.
Holiday Glögg
1 Bottle St. Wenceslaus
1/2 Bottle Cynthiana Port
1/4 cup Montelle Grappa
2 cinnamon sticks
For extra flair add 1/2 cup raisins
and 1/2 cup slivered almonds.
Simmer on low in a crockpot for
45 minutes to 1 hour for optimal
flavor.
