A semi-sweet pyment (mead made with grapes) blend of Vidal Blanc, local clover and wildflower honey. Barrel aged for 11 months. Produced in our 36th year (in 2020). Semi-sweet, light, with a zippy finish. Showcases tropical fruit, cinnamon, and honeysuckle notes. Our meads are truly the tribute to our history as we’ve been making mead for over 5 generations—which is now one of the longest tenures of mead production in the world. Why is the number Thirteen significant to our family? During the Holocaust, Bill was tattooed a sequence of six numbers which add up to the number Thirteen. To our understanding, the numbers on his arm contributed to his survival—marking him as a “protected prisoner.” Although, he still endured the brutality and tragedy of concentration camps and death marches; Bill survived the Holocaust. To our family, and especially Bill, the number Thirteen has been our lucky number ever since.
