Lemon Balm Mead (off-dry)
Awards: Gold Medal, “Best in Show,” and “Best Mead” at Northwest Wine Summit Competition, 2016. A light bodied, brightly acidic mead brings forward the citrus and herbaceous notes of lemon balm. Fresh harvested Melissa from our homestead is layered over a standard infusion of dried leaves to produce a full-spectrum extraction of the plant’s flavors. A subtle addition, this mead is a natural over ice on a summer’s day.
Suggested pairing: Cocktail mixer for an alcoholic Arnold Palmer, fresh fruit, melon with cultured yogurt dip, Kale chips or green salads, Caesar salad, fruit
salad. Salmon or shellfish.
