Around 2012, by chance, some red Frontenac vines in Minnesota mutated and dropped their pigment, and after some years of development, a new white varietal - Frontenac Blanc - became available. We planted our first Frontenac Blanc vines in 2016 and have produced Edwin Brix Frontenac Blanc annually since 2018. This vintage was aged with French Oak in stainless steel prior to bottling.
Fontenac Blanc is an acidic, dry white wine - similar to Sauvignon Blanc - with peach and apricot expressions and citrusy aromatics.
The wine pairs well with salads, cheese, seafood and chicken.
