Our Le Flirt is as always Merlot based. This year it is 100% Estate Merlot. It was aged in 50% new French Oak Puncheons. It has bright aromas of red cherries, plums, baked blackberry cobbler and vanilla. *Winemaker Notes* If you want to know what serious Old Vine Merlot can be, here you go. It is fruity and has some wonderful tannins. I have been enjoying this with food due to the tannins and find it much better with a good long decant until it get a few more years under its belt. This definitely fits be bill as a nice old school Right Bank Bordeaux.
