This is a ruby style port made from Tempranillo and Tannat grapes grown in Lake County. It is opaque garnet black in color. It has baked, fruity aromas on the nose and on the palate, flavors of berry-peach compote, spices, cocoa, and brown butter which fill a velvety, bright, and moderately sweet mid palate. It finishes with a complex mouthfeel, with hints of caramelized nuts, prunes, and dark fruit, leather, spices, and cedar. This is a remarkable domestic re-creation of a fine, well-aged vintage Orporto. You can enjoy it now as well as in 20 years from now. 19% Alcohol, 9% Residual Sugar.
