Machine harvested on September 19th, 2022. A few rows had to be harvested by hand due to the steepness of the terrain. This was a large harvest with about 13 tons of grapes processed.
This is a classic Riesling with very good acidity (Tartaric Acid of 2.50), and a sugar level of 17.5 Brix. This will be a lower alcohol wine, and it is intended to be that way. It is light and fruity, but has enough body to stand up to some heartier white meat. It has both minerality and citrus fruit characters.
This has been labeled with the summer Splash label in previous years, but this wine has the older Cave Ridge Riesling label. We are working with the Artist, Iris Scott, on a new Summer Splash label for later in the year.
