This complex Super Tuscan-style red was made from 80% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot and 10% Chambourcin. Offering a color of deep garnet, the nose is of dark plums and cherries, accented by an aroma of oak. The combination of medium French, American and medium Hungarian oak in the aging lends to the complex, rich finish with the earthy, dark cherry and balanced oak flavors. The smooth tannins and dryness of the wine enhance hearty Italian meals, beef, and big, bold flavorful dishes.
