Medium red in color, this 2018 Cabernet Franc is filled with dense red fruit on the nose, including strawberry, red plum, and a touch of roasted red peppers and dusty crushed gravel. Upon first sip, it is clear that this lively wine is supported by medium tannins, medium acidity, dried herbs, sweet tobacco, sour cherry, and fresh red fruit on the palate. When we tasted this wine in barrel, we simply could not imagine blending it with anything else given how well it stood on its own, thus, giving rise to our first-ever single varietal Cabernet Franc. Consider pairing this wine with a stuffed portobello mushroom, grilled steak or pork chops, soft cheeses, green olives, rosemary bread, and herbed crackers.
