This wine demonstrates a pale pink salmon color, reminiscent of the Grenache based roses of the Tavel and Lirac of the Southern Rhone region of France. Aromas of light pink roses, raspberries, strawberries, and white peaches lead into a palate much the same. Subtle fruitiness and a pleasant balance of light sweetness lead into the crisp acidity making this an easily approachable wine. The wine is very enjoyable on its own, or pairs well with slightly spicy salami, including Spanish Salchichon, or even Italian Pepperoni. Good cheese pairings are in the slightly acidic Swiss family like Emmentaler or Gruyere. Our favorite pairing? Spicy nachos of course! Please serve this wine slightly chilled (14C ~ 57F).
