We knew that we had a winner with this wine when the inaugural 2014 vintage won bi-coastal gold medals including at the Atlantic Seaboard and the Sonoma County International Women's Wine Competition. The 2015, 2016 and now 2017 vintages of this estate 100% Cabernet Franc wine follow in the successful tradition and taste profile of their 2014 predecessor. After hand-harvesting and sorting in the vineyard, the grapes were gently transported in small lugs to the winery where they were de-stemmed and sorted again on a vibrating sorting table before going into stainless steel tanks. After 2 days of cold maceration, the alcoholic fermentation was started and occurred around 75° to keep a fruity style and to not extract too many strong tannins. This wine was aged for 12 months in French third year oak barrels.
