We selected one barrel out of the four that were produced to showcase what our Wautoma Springs Vineyard can do. This wine is intriguing as it simultaneously exudes ripe fruit and bold rich flavors while still maintaining a flowery nose. This combination is intoxicating. The desolate sandy loam soils that these vines are grown on have produced a wine with sleek, supple tannins. The cool vintage of 2011 helped us craft a full bodied wine with a lovely balance of acidity that will ensure we can drink this wine for many years to come.
