Sweet Apple Civil War limited Sesquicentennial label. In the shadow of the mighty Peaks of Otter, lies the small community of Bedford, Va. Since the French & Indian War, she has offered her sons for the defense of her country. During the War Between the States, her brave sons fought under Stone Wall Jackson with the 2nd Virginia Cavalry. She was a refuge for hope of recovery during the conflict with many hospitals to heal the sick & wounded. Over 500 souls lost their fight in those hospitals. She offered her sons again 70 years later to fight against the Germans. On D-Day, June 6th, 1944, she lost a higher percentage of her men than in any other county in the Nation. Yet she still lovingly offers her children to defend the Country on a daily basis.
