The Syrah is all sourced from Nolan Vineyard in Bennett Valley, Sonoma County. This is a cool region adjacent to Sonoma Mountain. Because this area is cool, the wines produced from grapes grown here typically have dense color, intense fruit and interesting pepper and floral notes. The 2015 Syrah has wonderful aromatic components of sweet blackberries, black licorice, hints of lavender, black olives, vanilla bean, tar and a subtle toasty oak nuance. The color is an opaque, vibrant purple which is typical of Syrah grown in the best regions.
