The 2015 Riesling is technically a dry white wine, but has sufficient body and fruitiness to appeal to a range of white wine consumers. Approachable now, this wine will develop throughout 2017 and will be outstanding for the next 2 years.
Tasting Notes
The 868 Estate Vineyards Riesling reveals a complexity not typical of the variety. With a medium gold hue, the wine has an expressive style with dominant characters of citrus blossom, lemon and honeycomb along with notes of grapefruit, linden and almond. The crisp acidity enhances the distinct flavors of grapefruit, pear and juicyfruit, with tones of pineapple and nectarine. Notes of spice and orange blossom accent a clean, refreshing finish.
