Until 2010, Avanguardia did not produce a rose type wine. Loss of our estate vineyard crop to frost and the necessity of dealing with some under-ripe red varieties led us to make one and taught us that this wine type, especially when made to imitate Provence, is most worthwhile. This non-vintage version uses wines from both 2015 and 2016 including several of four red grapes in the making, Monduese Noir, Sangiovese, and Dolcetto. Customers who typically avoid rose are instant converts. Slightly off-dry at most, and wonderfully fruity and complex, you will love this wine.
