The 2012 Red Willow Vineyard Shellback is a blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Carménère, and 4% Malbec. This is our first Shellback blend using grapes exclusively from Red Willow Vineyard. The wine is much more Bordeaux dominant than our previous Shellback vintages giving it more structure. The Syrah adds to the full mouthfeel. The dominant flavors are cherry and plum.
