The Marquette grape, released by the University of Minnesota in 2006, is their favorite child. Richer in tannins and lower in acid than most hybrids, it presents a well-balanced flavor and aroma with deep red color. Grandchild of Pinot noir.
This dry wine pairs nicely with rare grilled steak, burgers, lamb and cheddar cheese and other red meats.
The grapes were harvested mostly in the Flathead Lake area of Montana.
