Our 4th offering of an Albariño, this one comes from a lovely vineyard in the Escondido area of San Diego County. Our dry white wine greets you with white peach, crisp green apple with hint of spice in the middle palate and a vanilla allspice finish. Pairs well with herbed goat cheese and oysters on the half shell.
The Alicante Bouschet is dominant in the nose with notes of earthiness and graphite, but the Grenache Noir gives this wine beautiful fruit and a smoothe middle palate. Hints of wet stone and campfire can also be detected. We suggest that you open this wine and let it breathe before enjoying.
The grapes from this wonderful wine came from Mermaid Valley Vineyard which is located in the valley below us. Nice fruit, wonderful tannins, well-balanced with a chocolate finish. This is a lovely wine that is not to be missed.
