Inviting, deep carmine red pour. Bouquet of cherries, plums, and soft, well-worn leather. Delicious palate! Cassis, dark cherries, ripe plums, leather, and soft pipe tobacco notes. The fine finish lingers and delights. In the absence of a steak, we are thinking chocolate as we sip this wine!
Dark red hue. There are intense aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, sage, cranberries, and cassis. With some time in the glass, notes of jasmine, vanilla bean, ripe blueberry, and plum fill out the aroma profile. Upon taste, these attributes are matched beautifully with carefully paired French oak. The silky smooth texture is balanced nicely with modest acidity and intricate tannins. This wine ends with amazing polish and length rarely seen in California. Enjoy now through 2030.
While there is not much of it, it is certainly delicious—a classic nose of cassis with the added complexity
of plum, bay and earthy sage. On the palate, there is concentration without heaviness, flavors of
currant, raspberry, oak and earth—which speaks to our surrounding forest.
Saturated purple color; seductive aromas of cassis and blackberry fruits, cola, cedar, tobacco, fennel, and espresso and dark chocolate. On entry, shows cassis, tobacco, roasted vegetables, black olive, cedar, and flint. It is full bodied, tannins are significant but covered in rich fruit and sweet oak. The finish is long, complex, and revealing of deeper mineral notes.
Extracted and concentrated, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful example of what an old vine vineyard grown in a cool climate can produce. Most Cabernet producers blend with other varieties to help round out the hardness inherent in Cab grapes. This wine is 100% Cab with no blending, showing its true unbridled character.
This full bodied Cabernet bursts with bright aromas of deep red cherry, black current jam and ripe plum. The expressive aromas are integrated with earthy spices, cedar, anise, vanilla, rich leather and balanced with a lush texture and refined tannins leading to a long lingering finish. Drink now through 2028.
The best kept secret! Deep and dark, but vibrant and extraordinarily delicious. Drinking extremely well even though still a bit tight on the edges. Loads of juicy black fruit, and bright summer red fruit entice you deeper into the subtle nuances of dried meats, savory herbs, sweet earth tones, warm pie crust, and toasted nuts. The tannin's are super fine and elegant with just enough grip to remind you that you are drinking an extraordinary Cabernet Franc from the Santa Cruz Mountains.
A bouquet of ripe fruit, sweet leaf litter, and spice, are mirrored on the palate with beautifully ripe black, and red fruits, gorgeous herbal underpinnings, and accents of Tahitian vanilla, clove, cardamom, and sweet pipe tobacco that carry on to pleasantly elegant finish.
