Winemaker’s tasting note:
The 2013 Westerhold Family Vineyards Pinot Noir is a deep, rich wine. It has the plush textures that one gets from only the best of the Bennett Valley hilltops. The flavor profile starts with dark plum and raspberry flavors, but quickly reveals spice and tea accents. The aromatics nicely mirror the flavor profile, but show a little hint of mocha that takes a while to develop on the palate. The wine rolls at you texturally – it has a round mid-palate and a significant tannin level, but they are long, luxurious tannins that make this wine age-worthy and seductive. ~ Russell Bevan, Winemaker
