Russ Mountain produces what we would refer to as “mountain fruit” qualities in the wine – a brambly, spicey, very open and pronounced aromatic intensity followed by a dense and vibrant mid-palate. Our goal each year is simply to situate the canopy and vine health to hopefully promote the fullest ripeness the vintage will allow, so as to present Russ Mountain in its most expressive state.
