This rich, bold and classy red is ripe and structured with spicy floral aromas leading into layers of crushed raspberries, cranberry and spice flavors. Savory cinnamon and thyme are folded in to a refined and balanced finish with light tannins. The final composition is 75% Malbec, 17% Petit Verdot, 5% Cab. Franc and 3% Cab. Sauvignon. We produced 402 cases.

A well crafted Bordelais style blend utilizing Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec from McCoy Vineyards. The resultant wine has immense character and intense color. A pleasant dark fruit aroma features black raspberry while showing hints of leather and mushrooms. The dark fruit continues on a delightful palate with tasty herbs chiming in. The lingering finish is soft and supple.
The final composition is 58% Petit Verdot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec. Production was 303 cases. This wine received a Gold Medal at the SF Chronicle Wine Competition
This well crafted and appealing wine features floral aromas with rose petal accented dark berry fruit. These floral aromas segue into a jammy, bramble palate with dark fruit flavors and ripe depth. The finish is soft and lingering with light, dry tannins. Final composition is 95% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Only 140 cases were produced.
This wine has 0.01 residual sugar, a Ph of 3.86 and 0.59 total acid (in the bottle). Aging has enhanced this wine, it is drinking very well and is smooth and seamless. A Silver Medal was received at the 2014 SF Chronicle Wine Competition.
This ripe and appealing red starts you off with an elegant dusty aroma of dried black fruit and light earthy components. The black fruit segues nicely into a well structured palate with hints of coffee, licorice and herbs. The finish is classic as the lingering dark fruit combines with dusty, soft tannins.

A striking Pinot Noir made from hillside grapes grown at 1300 to 1400 feet. The eye catching color, dense in intensity, sets you up for an evolving aroma of red and black cherries that segue into a mouth filling palate of luscious red cherry. These marvelous flavors persist on a lingering finish that mixes in nuances of slightly sweet char and oak complexities. Only 80 cases produced. This wine received a Silver Medal at the 2018 SFChronicle Wine Competition.
This dark, dense, fine textured wine has spicy aromas of dark fruit that segue nicely into a palate of dark fruit with blackberry, plum, shades of anise and espresso. The finish shows good length with intricate dark fruit flavors persisting.
Final composition is 76.5% Cab. Sauvignon, 11.9% Cab. Franc, 8.5% Petit Verdot and 3.1% Malbec. Production was 250 cases. This wine received a Silver Medal at the 2016 SF Chronicle wine Competition.
A firm , intense, well crafted, dense fruit driven wine with delightful aromas of spicy blackberry. The palate features loads of robust black fruit with a big mouth feel and peppery highlights. The lingering finish has good focus with nice soft tannins and hints of coffee.
The final composition is 95.3% Petite Sirah and 4.7% Syrah. We produced 210 cases.
This Petite Sirah is one of our best wines ever and it has aged very well. It received a Gold Medal in the 2013 SF Chronicle wine Competition and was Best of Class in the 2014 SF Chronicle Wine Competition.
The third in a series of smooth and rich, inky and intense, black purple Petite Sirahs from Volante. Spicy aromas of black fruit segue to a polished palate with loads of blackberry and huckleberry flavor. A pleasant finish meshes spice and bramble with oak complexities and an earthy mineral edge. The tannins are well defined but not tannic.
This ia another well crafted, dark and inky Petite Sirah from Volante. It starts with delightful aromas of spicy blackberry, baked blackberry pie and vanilla that segue into a palate loaded spicy bramble and bright black fruit flavors. Easy to like.
The immense character and intense color of this Zinfandel are derived from grapes grown on rocky hillsides at 1250 to 1550 feet elavation. The resultant Zinfandel is densely made and densely textured. It features aromas of blackberry and vanilla that segue into a focused and assertive palate with layers of bramble and dark fruit flavors. The finish is long and pleasingly complex. The final composition is 92% Zinfandel and 8% Petite Sirah. We produced 205 cases.

The palate is big and assertive with gobs of full bodied fruit flavors that segue into a long and pleasingly complex finish.
The grapes for this well crafted, single vineyard Zinfandel were grown on a 3 acre cool climate vineyard near Forestville. The wine starts you off with bright aromas of raspberry and bramble. The fruit driven palate is clean and supple with pleasing berry flavors that are enhanced by great natural acidity. A delightful and lengthy finish keeps the focus on berry flavors and acidity.
The grapes were left on their low yielding, dry farmed, head pruned vines as long as weather and raisin development permitted and handpicked on October 28. The resultant wine is rich and ripe with spicy blackberry, wild berry and plum scents picking up black cherry and currant on the palate. The finish combines bramble aromas and flavors with nuances of burnt wood, spice and soft tannins.

This Syrah received a Silver Medal at the 2016 Orange County Fair and a Silver Medal at the 2013 SF Chronicle Wine Competition.
At the 2009 California State Fair, this wine was selected as California’s best Syrah. It wows you with its intense purple black, opaque color density. The wine shows delightful cool climate Syrah characteristics with aromas of spicy plum and dusty dark berry fruits. These flavors gain complexity on a smooth textured palate. A long, focused finish shows well defined but soft tannins.
