1) This Cabernet offers a full nose that made me recall black licorice fragrance. With a wonderful complexity of aromatics I picked up a bit of olive character. The density of the nose is really a charm. The wine shows what I call a Cherry escalation sensation as the fruit climbs to the top of the palate showing comfortably pleasant acidity. 2) The middle palate exposes layers of fruit and spice that are persistent and continuous. The French and Hungarian barrels show a nice combination of toasty and sweet oak. 3) The finish and length of the wine is a round softer tannin that shows varietal Cabernet spice. This wine develops as the wine is allowed to open, so keep an eye on your bottle.
