Happy accidents do happen! We were short on staffing on the day this fruit was picked and pulled in. Ethen was left to crush and press nearly 4 ton of it, while also managing the tasting room. He didn’t get to press the fruit in time, so it was done on the following day. The extended time on the skins made for some very interesting flavors in the wine, as well as contributed to its full bodied profile.
